Eni bets on agri-business in Africa to expand biofuel production

Italian energy company Eni is investing in agriculture in several African and Asian countries, with plans to produce one fifth of its own agricultural feedstock to create its biofuel business by 2025. The company’s top executives commented that biofuels will play a key role in decarbonising the truck, aviation, and shipping sectors.
